Following successful teaching events in 2019 and 2022, EPNS supported another teaching course organized by the Azerbaijan Association of Child Neurologists (AACN) during the Neuro-week http://www.neuroweek.az/en-content-10.html in Baku on 19-20 December 2024. This 2-day course on fetal and neonatal neurology medicine was delivered in English and translated into Azerbaijani language (programme: http://www.epns.info/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Programme-for-EPNS-course-in-December-2024-revised-final-version-1.pdf ).
This event attracted 49 participants from different countries like Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, and different cities of the Russian Federation. They were involved in active learning on common topics on fetal and neonatal neurology. This course was led by invited lecturers Professor Tally Lerman-Sagie from Tel-Aviv, Israel and Dr Naila Ismayilova from London, UK (please, refer to photos below). However, there were also local lectures delivered by Professor Ayten Mammadbayli, Dr Azer Farajov, Dr Ulkar Mursalova, Dr Elnara Sardarova, and moderated by Professor Altynshash Jaxybayeva from Kazakhstan. The EPNS faculty received commendable feedback on the provision of the high-quality lectures and clinical discussions. AACN therefore looks forward to hosting a future EPNS-supported course in Baku, Azerbaijan!
